At the request of these clients we continued to expand the scope of our services. For many years now we have offered a full range of remodeling and building services including complete custom homes. Alex Ranney, Co-OwnerUnlimited Construction Supervisor License # CS-088595Alex oversees all our projects and crew in the field and is essential in making sure Ranney + Rimington’s principles of the highest quality work are upheld on every project. He has established long term professional relationships with the local building departments and also handles all the myriad details of ushering a project through the permitting process and subsequent inspections including representing our clients at Conservation and Historic commission meetings when they are required. Alex was born and raised on Cape Cod and learned at a young age to design and craft furniture and cabinets. He honed and expanded his expertise in home building and remodeling working with some of the leading craftsmen in New England for 15 years before co-founding Ranney + Rimington. He is an expert in every facet of building and also has excellent design skills and an ability to conceptualize how an idea becomes an actual structure. Throughout his career he has been highly sought after for designing and hand crafting custom built ins that really fit within a home. In addition to an unlimited construction supervisor license, Alex holds a home improvement contractor license, is certified in lead remediation. |
Patrick Rimington, Co-OwnerUnlimited Construction Supervisor License # CS-107282Patrick will likely be the first person from our team that you meet in person. He works closely with our clients to understand their ideas and desires for their home improvement projects and then translate them into a concrete way forward including plans, realistic detailed estimates and eventually a signed contract that is ready to file with the town for permitting. Patrick grew up in northern California. His father was an innovative engineer who retired in his early 30’s and moved everyone to south Florida to pursue a boating life. They purchased a 66’ John Alden schooner, completely rebuilt it as a family and then cruised extensively for nearly a decade. Patrick first began summering on Cape Cod in the early 80’s. He has invested and founded many businesses and promoted multi-media shows throughout the United States and the world. Currently, in addition to co-owning Ranney + Rimington, Patrick is the founder and owner of Cape CAD Designs. He brings a wealth of experience and unique perspective to the business of home building and remodeling. Interests include: family, continuing education, travel, hiking, movies, gaming and new experiences. |

| Pam is the voice (and email) behind the scenes at Ranney + Rimington. She acts as the ‘hub of information’ for the company and along with Jay, our Field Manager, organizes the details of our customer’s projects and makes sure everyone stays informed.
Pam grew up in Miami, FL where her father was based as a Captain with Eastern Airlines. She moved to Cape Cod in the 80’s. Pam has worked in the marine industry, insurance, multi-media promotions, co-owned several retail establishments and now brings this lifetime of organizational and business skills to Ranney + Rimington. She has also served as past member and secretary of the Board of Directors of the Cape Cod Lighthouse Charter School and worked with the Boys & Girls Club of Cape Cod. Pam enjoys reading, plant-based cooking (and eating!), traveling… and coming home to the exceptional place Cape Cod is. |
Jason “Jay” works closely with Pam, our Operations Director, to organize all the day-to-day details of our customer’s projects. He is hands on and in person making sure everything gets done. Jay does a great job keeping the homeowner fully informed of progress every step of the way!
Jason is a native Cape Codder. His love of woodworking comes from a long family tradition. Jason’s grandfather, father, uncle, and aunt are all skilled woodcarvers. His own skill and interest really blossomed at Falmouth High School, using his free periods to work in the wood shop. He has worked in all aspects of the building industry and currently has 20 years of experience. Jason is a proud resident of Marstons Mills, where he lives with his wife and daughter in a home they remodeled together. He enjoys outdoor activities including camping on Sandy Neck Beach and at the various state parks on the Cape, hiking, boating, fishing and target shooting. |
